Selected work

The films below are a representative selection from our work. If you'd like to see more films, please get in touch and we'd be happy to share a more comprehensive list.

Shishu Mandir is a long-time NGO client of ours. What made this particular video interesting for us was the freedom to create something unconventional. Emphasising Shishu Mandir's focus on extracurricular activities, we took two little girls on a journey through a stylised view of their school, also subtly highlighting Shishu Mandir's focus on the girl-child.

Our film for Turtle Torque was Copac Media's very first. Santosh Rajkumar, who owns and runs Turtle Torque is an artist, writer and passionate about his automobiles. His bespoke brand features custom hand-drawn images by Santosh, printed on t-shirts and other merchandise. This film highlights Santosh's art and his passion.

This film for Parag (an initiative of TATA Trusts), was one of a series of 6 films that we made that are now included in Parag's 'Library Educator's Course'. Aside from the interviews, the films featured real library sessions with children and a facilitator, shot with a multi camera and light setup. All films were shot in real time and no second takes were possible.

ETP Global, formerly Ethical Tea Partnership, based in the UK, commissioned us to make a film and shoot photographs covering their PCEP program in India. We do a fair amount of work with organisations and artisan brands in the tea industry and this one gave us another opportunity to go back to estates in the beautiful state of Assam.

During the pandemic years, the WTO (World Toilet Organisation) commissioned us to make a manifesto film. This was a difficult time for everyone, and filmmaking was one of the industries hit hardest. No films were being made, simply because travel was not possible. We were lucky that we got a significant amount of editing work in this period and this is why this film has been included in the list. We were given a script and we put this film together using stock footage and original + stock photographs.

This is not a film, but rather an introduction to a speculative book trailer we created for a client. This edit sequence uses stock photographs and music to create a dynamic and high energy introduction to the main theme of the book.

Passport Photos was made in 2010 by Preetam and Aravinda along with two friends from 'Think Tibet', Jangchup Lingpa and Lobsang. This short doc was a result of conversations with young Tibetans on identity and what it means to be young and living in exile in India. It was a zero-budget production, shot in a living room with a small handycam and lights made from plastic buckets, aluminium foil and CFL bulbs. Passport Photos went on to screen at 14 international film festivals in 11 countries. It was nominated for best short documentary in 2 festivals.

Our most recent photography assignment took us to Assam, where, over a period of about a week, we shot over 1000 photographs. In addition to online dissemination, our client printed and exhibited some of the photographs.

Below is a selection of photographs from various projects, shot at locations across India.

Shishu Mandir is an NGO based in Bengaluru, India, started with the aim of providing free and holistic education to children from impoverished backgrounds, with an emphasis on educating the girl child. â€‹

Shishu Mandir had not updated their website for several years and sought our support. We designed and built this website, keeping in mind that the site will need to be easy to update and visitors will need clear information on the organisation’s work in order to come forward to offer support them. The website has been well-received with visitors spending an average 3-4 minutes per session. In addition, we maintain a blog connected to the website.

Trustea Sustainable Tea Foundation offers a domestic sustainability code for the Indian tea industry. Their work has been effecting on-the-ground change over the last decade. As the organisation moves towards greater public visibility for their certified teas, they wanted to start and build a social media presence. We create content and manage their social media presence on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter).

We added annual reports to our portfolio recently and have grown adept at being able to distill a year’s progress by data and information.

We were commissioned by ETP Global to produce 5 case studies on their Plantation Community Empowerment Programme. The case studies were based on interviews.
